Xiaoxiao Cui | Experience Designer, Lighting Designer
I'm an interdisciplinary designer who contemplates and provisions the way people inhabit and experience the world.
My design journey originates within the context of theaters, where I first ventured into the intricacies of breaking the fourth wall, eventually extending my reach into the tangible realm of real-world experiences. Throughout this journey, my unwavering commitment has been to meticulously craft and enhance people's encounters, whether it entails conjuring immersive fantasies within a black box or contributing to the evolving tapestry of daily life.
As a futurist with a deep reverence for our historical roots, I consistently design for all points along the temporal spectrum, from the annals of the past to the frontiers of the future. My work serves as a bridge between the present and the future, entwining cutting-edge technology with the very essence of the human experience. I prioritize a technical orientation, tirelessly seeking robust solutions that address contemporary challenges and enrich the human habitat.
At present, I am diligently engaged in my thesis work at Parsons, where I am rigorously exploring the coexistence of physical reality and virtuality within the domain of mixed reality, further contributing to the ever-evolving field of design.
